Cameo Video Productions of Washington is owned and operated by Arlington funeral videographer, Jerry Werthman. Jerry was taught the art of professional photography by his father, who was a Master of Photography certified by the Professional Photographers of America. During his high school years, Jerry worked in his father’s portrait studio, served as a journalistic photographer at school, and won a national Scholastic Art Gold Key Award.
After college, Jerry was commissioned in the U.S. Air Force, where he served a full active-duty military career. His final assignments were in the Washington DC area.
Jerry launched Cameo Video Productions of Washington in 2002. That same year, he joined WEVA (the Wedding and Event Videographers Association International) to learn directly from masters in the event video industry. The focus of his business, since he first opened its doors, has been to produce superior-quality, heartwarming social event videos for families, including funerals for loved ones at Arlington National Cemetery.
In 2007, Jerry was recognized by a national bridal publication as one of the top wedding videographers in the Washington DC area. He won his first WEVA International Creative Excellence Award for Social Event Coverage (Gold) in 2006, followed by another in 2009 (Silver), and two in 2011 (Gold). The WEVA awards were all for his work as an Arlington funeral videographer. Jerry is the only videographer offering funeral service coverage at Arlington National Cemetery who has been professionally recognized for the quality and artistry of his work there.
Associate producers are rigorously trained to meet the company’s high standards prior to working with Jerry on assignments.
