Cameo Video Productions of Washington is owned and operated by Arlington National Cemetery funeral videographer, Jerry Werthman. From a very early age, Jerry was taught the art of professional photography by his father, who was an accredited Master Photographer in the Professional Photographers of America.
After college, Jerry was commissioned in the U.S. Air Force, where he completed an active-duty military career. His final assignments were in the Washington DC area.
Jerry launched Cameo Video Productions of Washington in 2002. That same year, he joined WEVA (the Wedding and Event Videographers Association, International) to study the unique creative tools, skills, and techniques employed by masters in the event video industry. The focus of his business, since its inception, has been to produce superior-quality, creative, and heartwarming social event videos for his clients’ families.
Jerry won his first Creative Excellence Award (Gold) in 2006, followed by another in 2009 (Silver), and two more (Gold) in 2011. All awards were earned in international competitions open to all video producers. Jerry’s awards were all for his Arlington National Cemetery funeral video productions. Jerry has made such productions his exclusive business pursuit now for 15 years.
With regard to competitors, Jerry is the only producer serving at Arlington National Cemetery who is professionally peer-recognized for the technical quality and artistry of his work.
