Cameo Video wins two 2011 WEVA Creative Excellence Gold awards

The Wedding and Event Videographers Association (WEVA) International announced today the winners of the 2011 Creative Excellence Awards competition. Cameo Video Productions was named the Gold Award winner in two categories: (1) Social Events Coverage, and (2) Social Events Highlights. Our award-winning entry in Social Events Coverage was the Arlington National Cemetery funeral video for the family of U.S. Air Force Colonel Robert J. Miller. Our winning entry in Social Events Highlights was the Arlington National Cemetery funeral video for the family of U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Arthur R. Cresce. Colonel Miller’s video included an impressive B-52 flyover. Chief Cresce’s highlights included an impromptu narrative about his military history, given by an attendee after the service.

Cameo Video wins 2009 WEVA Creative Excellence Silver award

I’m attending WEVA International’s annual Creative Excellence Awards event and screening in Orlando FL, and Cameo Video Production’s name was announced as winner of the Social Events Coverage Silver Award! Our production of U.S. Air Force Colonel Fletcher B. Porter’s funeral video at Arlington National Cemetery was the award-winning entry.

Cameo Video wins 2006 WEVA Creative Excellence Gold award

Due to a scheduling conflict, I didn’t attend the Wedding and Event Videographers Association (WEVA) International’s Video Expo in Las Vegas this year. So, I missed the annual Creative Excellence Awards event on the evening of August 21st. Cameo Video Production’s entries had never won an award in this competition before, so I didn’t expect we would win anything this year either…some of my fellow videographers are incredibly talented! Imagine my shock when the Gold Award plaque for Social Event Coverage arrived unannounced in the mail today! The award was for our coverage of the Arlington National Cemetery funeral of U.S. Air Force Major Monte Owen Lillard.
